The Bubble Run

WARNING:  THIS IS GOING TO BE A BIG TIME PHOTO DUMP.

I found another great Groupon deal for a Bubble Run in Phoenix!  This was the Saturday before Mother's Day and I wanted the whole family to run/walk this 5k with me.  We ended up leaving Harper with my friend Jayme after I watched a video of what would be going down at this little shin-dig.  The kids were so excited. Delaney asked daily if it was time to go play in the bubbles.

He apparently thinks he's too cool to smile for pictures these days.

Pre-Bubble fun.  Such pretty white shirts...

There were thousands of people so we had to wait a while to get going.  So we posed for a few before pictures.

Delaney spent minimal time in that stroller.  As we walked through the first bubble bog she was consumed by bubbles and did not want to be pushed through any more.

Right after the Pink Zone!!

This would be Delaney crying after going through the pink zone.  Not a happy camper.

Green Zone!  Rob, Jordan and Kierstin are reaching for the bubbles.  Rob tried to carry Delaney through it, but she was still not impressed.

Jordan on the other hand LOVED it.  He ran quite a bit with me too.  I'm going to have to get him to do a 5k with me someday.

Green Zone conquered!!

Blue Zone!!

I had a pretty good time too.  I pushed Delaney around the blue zone so she didn't have to go through it.  Then I went back and went through it by myself.

Delaney enjoyed playing with the bubbles.  She just didn't want to walk through the deep piles.

Yellow Zone!!

I was trying to strut....

Rob in the yellow bubbles.  Oh yeah and the bubbles smelled good too!  Yellow was banana, green was apple, blue was cotton candy and pink was bubble gum.

Jordan and Kierstin playing at the yellow zone.

The best family picture we could get thanks to a kind stranger.  Delaney refused to come near us.

Hi peeps!  Kierstin had an awesome time too.  However running is not her thing.

At the end of the race they had a deejay playing lots of great music and "bubble trees" for everyone to play in.  The kids (and Rob) enjoyed being buried in the bubbles.

I watched Delaney play at what she considered a safe distance from the bubble trees.

I think I should win Mom of the Year for this one.  No?
