I've officially lost it....

When you are pregnant you are more absent minded, more clumsy and forget things often.  Well on Thursday night I went to Parent Night at Jordan's school.  I was there for about 35 minutes.  I sat at Jordan's desk and listened to his teacher talk about what's expected of my kid during the school year.  Just the normal every year speech.  I headed out to my car when it was over and imagine my surprise when I get to my car and realize that it's still running!!  Which means I got out of my car, never shut it off, locked the door and went on my way without a moments hesitation.  I have never done this!  I am truely losing it and I blame pregnancy brain.  She's sucked the intelligence right out of my head.  Some might argue that I'm just using the baby as an excuse, but I will use and abuse it while I can!!  HAHA!!

Diva Delaney

Anatomy Scan

Yesterday was our anatomy scan.  I was really looking forward to seeing our baby again, but nervous at the same time.  Our last anatomy scan with Delaney was scary and not the happy day I'd hoped it would be.  So I was praying for a much better experience this time.  And boy did we get one!

Baby GIRL (yes confirmed female again) was very active.  She's weighs about 10 oz. and is measuring right along with my due date.  She was quite the drama queen, throwing her head back and covering her face with her hands.  I predict a shy child like her Mommy.  We saw all the important stuff.. brain, heart, kidney's, bladder, fingers, toes, etc.  She looks absolutely perfect!

I'm so thankful that this pregnancy has been a breeze so far.  I might be eating those words at some point here soon.  But EVERYTHING was difficult with Delaney and this time it's the exact opposite.  Is it possible that this will be her personality too?  My easy baby?  I can only hope!  Delaney has been "challenging" (haha!) since the day she was born.  Just like she was in the womb.
I'm already so in love with her.  She's simply amazing!

20 Weeks - Half way there!

How far along? 20 weeks! Baby is now the size of a cantaloupe! That seems HUGE to me!  About 6.5 inches long (crown to rump) and weighs about 10.2 ounces.

Total weight gain/loss: +10 lbs total

Maternity clothes: Yes, all the time now.

Sleep: It depends on the night.  I've been suffering from middle of the night heartburn the last few nights, which is not helpful when I'm trying to sleep.  It hurts!

Best moment this week: I had a stranger acknowledge that I'm pregnant for the first time yesterday.  It's nice to know I finally look pregnant and not just fat.

Movement: Yes, all the time!  She kicked me pretty hard last night.  I'm sure I'll be able to feel it from the outside soon.

Food cravings: I've been craving my favorite alcoholic drink!  Bahama Mama's!!  I never craved alcohol with either of my previous pregnancies so it's very weird.

Gender: A perfect little princess

Labor Signs: No way

Belly Button in or out? Still an innie.

What I miss: The occasional cocktail and sleeping on my belly.

What I am looking forward to: Our anatomy scan TODAY!!  And Daddy being able to feel her move.

Weekly Wisdom: I think the baby has sucked the wisdom right out of me.

Milestones: I felt the baby kick or punch right behind my belly button yesterday.  All of the previous movement has been down pretty low.  So she must be growing!!

At The Beach

While we were in Carlsbad, CA we stopped to play at the beach.  I never expected how much Delaney would love it.  The waves didn't scare her.  The seaweed didn't scare her.  Nothing scared her.  She walked up and down the beach holding Mommy's or Daddy's hand.  She squeeled whenever a wave would hit her feet.  So amazed with her curiousity.  She's a beach baby for sure.

Jordan and Kierstin were out enjoying the waves.  Jordan stayed in that water for at least an hour.  Kierstin would take a break and play in the sand.

This was the perfect way to end our vacation.  There will be many more visits to the beach in our future.  The kids just enjoy it so much.

Lego Water Park

On the third day of our vacation we went to the Legoland Water Park.  It was kind of cool and overcast that day, but the kids didn't care.

Here's Jordan standing in front of Lego "Hagrid" from Harry Potter.

Jordan and Kierstin were the first one's to go down the slide for the day.

Daddy went with the second time.

They had a water play area for the little ones.  Kierstin's getting nailed by the lion.  Delaney was very tired and cranky so she wanted nothing to do with the water.

Landon and Jordan relaxing on the lazy river.

Delaney and I stayed in the shade.  Her swim diaper leaked and soaked the super cute swimsuit she had on.  I was so sad that I couldn't take pictures.  Bad mommy for not bringing an extra suit.

19 Weeks

How far along? 19 weeks! Baby is now the size of a mango! About 6 inches long and weighs about 8 ounces.

Total weight gain/loss: +9 lbs total.  YUCK.

Maternity clothes? Mostly maternity now, but some of my regular clothes.

Stretch marks? None from this pregnancy yet.

Sleep: I had some pregnancy insomnia this week, but not too bad.

Best moment this week: Increased movement from our little one.  She's getting bigger!

Movement: Yes, several times a day now!  Still waiting to be able to feel it from the outside so Daddy can feel.

Food cravings: Nothing really stands out this week.  Just have had a ridiculous appetite.  I'm hungry all the time now.

Gender: A princess

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button in or out? Still an innie.

What I miss: Sleeping on my belly.

What I am looking forward to: Our anatomy scan a week from today!

Weekly Wisdom: The weight gain is inevitable.  Try not to let it get you down.

Milestones: Almost half way there!

A New School Year

Jordan and Kierstin went back to school yesterday!

Kierstin was up at 5am long before the rest of us.  She was just too excited to sleep any longer.  So she got dressed, made herself breakfast, put her shoes on and waited patiently for the rest of us to get up.

Delaney didn't understand what was going on and wanted to be in all the pictures.

She had to have the Justin Bieber backpack of course.

 Yeah for 2nd grade!!

He's thrilled to be going back to school as you can see.

 He's a 5th grader now!

The end of the day report went as follows.  Kierstin was thrilled with her day.  She loves school and I know she's going to have a great year.  Jordan was disappointed that he now only gets ONE recess per day and they are not allowed to go on the playground equipment anymore.  Oh what a bummer for him to be growing up!  On the bright side, he said he got the best teacher and is happy with his class. Hoping they both have a fantastic year!!

Legoland - Day 2 continued...

During the afternoon of Day 2 we went to play in the water at Pirate Cove.

What kid would not love this?!  An awesome water playground.

A short break before they ran off.

Daddy with his girls.  Delaney was not so sure about the water.  It was pretty cold and there were kids running around everywhere.

This girl loves to swing though.  Her face says it all.

Mean Daddy took her right under the water when the giant bucket above dumped on them.  You can't tell, but she's crying in this picture.

So this is where she ended up.  Warm and asleep in my arms just where I like her.  I was pretty sunburnt at this point so I stayed in the shade most of the time.

They're tired as you can see by Jordan's face.

But they always have more energy to be silly.

Legoland - Day 2

On the morning of day 2 we went to the Sealife Aquarium.  The kids loved this.  Lots of sealife incorporated with Legos.  How could you go wrong there?

I'm not really sure what they were touching and looking at here.  They dove right in though.  No fear.

This tunnel was fascinating with at the sharks and sting rays swimming above and around you.

Delaney loved pointing out all the "fishies".

More fun things to look at and touch.  Look how big my baby is!

 Silly Jordan

 Silly Kierstin

And of course they had Legos to play with on the way out.
