Happy Halloween

This was a very special Halloween.  Not only was it my birthday, but Delaney really got to be a part of all the action this year.  She is a pro-walker now and I had so much fun dressing her up!  I absolutely love this age.

Time for trick-or-treating at Grandma and Grandpa Kammeyer's house.  Hey Brother wait for me!

Jordan the vampire and Delaney the strawberry

Come on Mom let's go!

After some trick or treating at the grandparents houses we went to trunk or treat at Kierstin's mom's church.  She made a pretty cute witch.

Yum cotton candy.  Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Patch

We had a great time at the pumpkin patch today.  We tried out a new place this year and were happy with our choice.

Our little family.  Aren't we cute?

She's happy to be walking with her Daddy and not stuck in her stroller.

Jordan and Kierstin in the petting zoo.  Being silly of course.

 CORN!

This ostrich kept trying to take a bite out of Jordan.  Too funny.

 Posing on the tractor.

Delaney pushed her stroller all over the farm.  She was very pleased with herself.

 Jordan petting a goat.

 "Look Mom a pumpkin!"

Happy fall!!  We can't wait to carve into our pumpkin.

Jordan's happiest place on earth

Jordan loves Legos!  So when I heard that they were finally opening a Lego Store at our local mall, I knew that we had to go.  I wanted to surprise Jordan so I did not tell him ahead of time.  Yesterday was an early release day at school so we picked up Grandma and Grandpa Norris, ate some lunch at the Cheescake Factory, and headed to the mall.

This was the long line we stood in just to get in the door.  I know, we're crazy but it wasn't bad at all.

While Grandma and Grandpa stood in line, Jordan got to help build an 8 foot Yoda.  He put together one brick for the master builders that were there putting it together.

The brick he put together.  It took him about a minute.

This is the Yoda that they were working on.  The smaller Yoda on the inside of the circle is just a smaller model.  The circle is the actual Yoda that will be 8 feet tall.

Grandpa and Delaney waiting patiently for Jordan and Grandma to finish shopping.  That place was a zoo.

Jordan is checking out the Harry Potter Legos.  He wants the Hogwarts castle someday.

This is what Jordan picked out.  It's the Hogwarts Express and the flying car!  As soon as we got home he spent the rest of the evening putting this together.

Train Park

Last Sunday we spent the day at the McCormick Stillman Railroad Park.  This park is amazing and by far one of my favorites.  My Dad and Step-mom are in town from Charlotte NC, so the family decided to go to the park and spend some time together.  It was a little on the hot side, but it was such a beautiful day.
 Jordan playing on the playground.
My Dad with Kierstin.  She was soaked from the misters.
Delaney's first time on the swing!  She loved it for all of 30 seconds and then she decided that she was done.  Oh well, we'll try again next time.
Landon, Jordan and Kierstin got to ride in the caboose on the train that goes around the park.  They loved it.
Being silly in the caboose of course.
Delaney loved the train too.
The train
Hanging out and eating our lunch.  We had sandwiches with chips, potato salad, pasta salad and veggies.  YUMMY!
She figured out how to climb up into that big chair all by herself.  If only she could figure out how to use Aunt Liz's phone.
Jordan and Landon in "JAIL" where they belong.
We will definately be heading back to this park soon since the weather has finally cooled down.  Such a great day!

Three amazing years

Three years ago today I became Mrs. Kammeyer.  Three years ago today I not only became a wife but I also became a step-mother.  Three years ago today we became a family.

 Mr. and Mrs. 10/20/07

Daddy's girl.  Can you believe that she was ever this little?  Kierstin at age 4.

My little man.  He walked me down the aisle.  Such an important job and only 7 years old.

My favorite picture from our wedding day.  Happy Anniversary Rob!  It's hard for me to believe that it's only been 3 years.  It feels like so many more.  I know we have many beautiful years ahead of us.  I love you.

Zoo Day

The hospital that Delaney was born at sent us an offer for a FREE three month membership to the Phoenix Zoo.  It was a gift for her 1st birthday.  We don't get out to the zoo much because it's on the opposite side of town.  So this was perfect!  I was looking forward to having a good time and taking lots of pictures, but it was so HOT.  I knew that it was going to be 93 degrees outside, but I had hoped that it wouldn't be that bad.  Pushing a stoller up those hills with the sun beating down on you is miserable.  Most of the animals were hiding because of the heat.  We made the most of it though and I do believe that the kids had a pretty good time.

Kierstin, Delaney and Jordan before we were all nasty and sweaty.  It's so hard to get a good picture of the three of them these days.  Love this picture.

Kierstin enjoyed playing on the fake animals since all the real ones were hiding.

We did visit the petting zoo.  Jordan loves animals.  He'd save all the animals in the world if he could.

They had a really cute playground for the little ones.  Delaney loved the cow.  I think she'll enjoy this playground more in a few months when she's a little older and a better walker.

Hanging out in the barn.  She points at everything these days.

The kids spent the majority of our time playing in the cavern.  This was a really cool splash pad that included a cave and slides.  It was nice to cool off for a bit.

This is Jordan inside the cave.

Delaney was not quite as interested in playing in the water.  I think it was moslty because there were so many kids running around.  Too much chaos for her.  Kierstin had a good time though.

We will be going back before my membership expires.  Thankfully cooler temperatures are just around the corner for us.  So hopefully next time the animals will come out and say HI.

My Sunday "Son-date"

My least favorite time of the year is football season.  It means that my husband is obsessed with fantasy football and glued to the TV every Sunday.  It drives me nuts!  So this Sunday I decided I needed to get out of the house and have a date with my son.  I sometimes forget what it was like all those years when it was just Jordan and I.

Jordan wanted to go and see a movie with me so off we went!  He is so special and it was good for us to spend some time together.  I love my boy.

Jordan wanted to see Alpha and Omega.  Not something that I cared to see, but anything to put that smile on his face.  He loved the movie and I think we'll have some more special Sunday "son-date's" in the near future.  I've got to make it through football season somehow.
