Kierstin is EIGHT!

Happy Birthday Kierstin!  You are 8 years old today!!

On Sunday we had a party for her with family and friends.

We had a pool and water slide set up in the back yard.  Unfortunately the water slide had a hole in it.

 What's a party without pizza?

Her friend Jazmyn came from school.

She got lots of Justin Bieber stuff and a new bike!  Delaney didn't quite understand that it wasn't for her.

 Make a wish!

Has it really been 8 years already?  Happy Birthday BIG girl.

Swim Classes

We decided to sign the kids up for swim classes.  Delaney needed to be more familiar with the water, so she is taking a parent/tot class with her Daddy.  So far she's enjoyed it with the exception of the last couple of classes.  I'm not sure why she's now decided that it's only fun for about 5 minutes.  The class is at 5:35pm so it's possible that she's just tired.

Kierstin is taking the Level 2 class.  She is a much better swimmer this year, but we figured that it couldn't hurt for her to get some more practice.  She wears her really goofy looking pink goggles, which she loves.

Jordan is taking the Level 3 class.  He's by far the best in the class.  He's been a great swimmer for a few years now, but again a little practice never hurt.  It also beats sitting in the 115 degree weather watching like I've been doing.

Vacation Bible School

Jordan and Kierstin spent last week at Vacation Bible School.  They had a great time as always.  They did crafts, played games, learned bible verses and had outdoor water activities.  On Sunday night they had their performance to show all that they had learned that week.

The theme was PandaMania.  Where God is wild about you!  It was kind of a Kung Fu Panda knock off.  Jordan was on the Samurai team and Kierstin was on the Ninja team.  I love that they keep it fun and interesting for the kids.

Jordan was way in the back and very hard to see.  But he sang his heart out and made sure I was watching him!

Delaney would periodically scream and point to her Bubby or Sissy.  She also danced along to the music.  So cute!  VBS is definately in her future.

Jordan helped Pastor Randy with the slingshot.

The kids with Pastor Randy after the program.

Kierstin with her favorite person, Darling Darla.  The kids had a great time.  I'm sure we'll be doing it again next year.
