First Haircut

Well we decided it was that time for Delaney to get her haircut.  That's 18 months of hair growth right there.  She has much more hair than Jordan did at her age.  The back is really cute and curls at the bottom.  I didn't want them to touch those curls!  But her bangs were in need of a serious trim.  They were in her eyes.

We went to a special kids hair cut place because I wasn't sure how she would react to a stranger cutting her hair.  So maybe a little car to sit in would be a good distraction?

The car did the trick!  She just played with the wheel while the stylist did her job.  Not a single tear while she was getting a trim and she sat still for the whole 2 minutes.  That's about as long as she will sit still these days.  There's no stopping this little girl.  She is running everywhere and into everything now.

All done!  Her little blonde hair looks so much better.  She did cry a little at the end when the stylist turned on the hair dryer, but Daddy was there to swoop her up into his arms and save the day.

HEART ATTACK!

This year for Valentine's Day I HEART ATTACKED our kitchen/dining room area.  I left for work at 5am, so I got up really early while everyone was still asleep. I wanted them to have a nice surprise when the woke up.

All of the hearts had something written on them.  Like.. "I love you", "Happy Valentine's Day" and "Be Mine".

None of the hearts said the same thing twice.

Our sleepy kids checking out their surprises.  They loved this and it was a great way to start out their Monday.

Happy Valentine's!

A Valentine's Scavenger Hunt

For Valentine's Day my good friend Jayme had a fantastic idea of doing a scavenger hunt with the kids.  She planned everything.  We did a little dollar store shopping and it made for a good time for all of us.

Here's the princess with her purse.  Obviously this is a must for a trip to the park.

We ate a little lunch from Mickey D's.

Then the kids were handed baskets and went off with the Dad's to look for clues.

 Hmmmm.... where to look first.

Each clue was a puzzle piece.  So once they had all the pieces they headed back to the table to put them all together.

Once they had the final clue they ran off to find the grand prize!

 It was a big box.....

 Filled with cookies to decorate!

So everyone got down to it and decorated those cookies.

YUM!  Thanks Jayme for coming up with such a neat idea!  We had a blast!

Chocolate Affaire

While Rob was in Vegas with friends, Jordan, Delaney and I went to the Glendale Chocolate Affaire.  We joined the Heuer's to induldge in some yummy chocolate.

Delaney and Jordan ready for some sugar.

This is Jordan making his annual Chocolate Pizza.  It's milk chocolate with marshmellows, mint chips, and vanilla icing.  They have other choices like raisins, cranberries, and nuts to put in there, but Jordan likes to keep things basic.

 Yummmmmmm, need I say more?

Please, brother share your frozen chocolate covered banana!

We also took a tour of the Cerreta Chocolate Factory while we were there.  It smelled so good!  It was hard not to want to eat everything there.

White chocolate covered pretzels.  They have this Chocolate Affaire every year, the first weekend in February.  And every year we go back.  Being a chocolate lover myself, I can't resist.
