And so it begins....
I was at home yesterday, sitting at the computer desk when I heard a little voice say to her brother or sister....."I'm telling Mom" from the bottom of the stairs. Surely my sweet, angelic 2 year old has not learned how to tattle already?! How can this be?? Wasn't she just learning how to crawl? Wasn't she just saying her very first word? Isn't she supposed to stay sweet and cute for the rest of her life?? Well that little girl marched right up those stairs and came right to me. Words flew out of her mouth so fast that I couldn't understand what she was so upset about. She was pointing down the stairs obviously telling on which ever sibling had done her wrong. I tried hard not to laugh because it was really quite funny, but I'm just in shock at how early they learn these things. Delaney is growing up way too fast! Slow down baby girl! I'm not ready!!

24 Weeks - Viability
I'm really bored with the weekly survey so I'm taking this week off. Today is an important day because Baby K has reached viability. This means that if she was born today, she could survive outside of the womb. Obviously she would need extreme medical intervention so we don't want her born today, but it's still a milestone. I'm feeling okay these days. If I'm on my feet for too long I start to have pain in the lower right side of my abdomen and it makes my right thigh numb. As soon as I rest and put my feet up, the numb feeling goes away. I had really bad sciatica pain when I was pregnant with Delaney, so I have a feeling that I'm going to have the same problem this time. Lucky me!!
I go back to the doctor on the 4th of October and my super fun glucose test is on the 6th. This pregnancy is moving right along. She'll be here before I know it!

23 Weeks
How far along? 23 weeks! Baby is still the size of a papaya! During month 5 the average fetus measures about 10.5 to 11.8 inches and weighs about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces.
Total weight gain/loss: +13 lbs total
Maternity clothes: Yes, everyday.
Sleep: I sleep okay at first, but when I wake up to use the bathroom I usually have a hard time falling back asleep.
Best moment this week: Delaney lifting my shirt to kiss my belly and asking me if the baby is crying =)
Movement: Yes, and she seems to have a sleep pattern because I feel movement at the same times of day, every day.
Food cravings: Carne asada burrito from Filabertos. I've had THREE this week. Shameful I know.
Gender: A perfect little princess
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? Still an innie.
What I miss: Nothing this week.
What I am looking forward to: Finishing the 2nd trimester and going back to the doctor on 10/4.
Weekly Wisdom: Get more exercise!! I've been slacking BIG time.
Milestones: Each passing week is a milestone for me. I still can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going.

Carousel
I swear I have other children, but I wanted to share these pictures of Delaney. We were on the carousel at PV mall a couple of weekends ago. She loves to ride the horsey!
Special time with Mommy =)

How far along? 22 weeks! Baby is now the size of a papaya! During month 5 the average fetus measures about 10.5 to 11.8 inches and weighs about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces.

Maternity clothes: Yes, all the time now.
Sleep: I've been plagued with heartburn, insomnia, sore back and sore hips. All of which make it hard to get comfortable to get a good nights sleep.
Best moment this week: Going to the doctor for a check up and hearing the heartbeat.
Movement: Yes, she makes me very aware that she's in there getting bigger by the day.
Food cravings: I seem to love all food in general these days.
Gender: A perfect little princess
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? Still an innie.
What I miss: Happy Hour last night had me wishing I could have a Bahama Mama with my friends!
What I am looking forward to: Finishing the 2nd trimester and going back to the doctor on 10/4.
Weekly Wisdom: Must get more exercise into my daily routine.
Milestones: Reaching 22 weeks and really feeling a lot more pregnant these days. Can't hide this belly anymore.

Happy Birthday Delaney!
09/06/09
09/06/10
08/02/11
09/03/11
Happy Birthday Delaney!! I could write something extremely mushy and sentimental right now, but the truth is... I'm tired! You wore me out today on your 2nd birthday. Grandma came over this morning and made you a special birthday breakfast of waffles. Your favorite! Then lucky you got to go to the doctor this afternoon for your two year well check. I'm such a mean Mommy for taking you there on your birthday I know. Only 2 shots today. They said you weigh 27 lbs now which puts you in the 56th percentile. They also said you're 34.5 inches tall, which puts you in the 78th percentile! You're going to be tall just like your Daddy. The doctor said that you're growth curve since birth is perfect. We're so blessed that you're such a happy and healthy little girl. Love you and looking forward to the next year ahead of us.
XOXOXOXOXO
Mommy

Guess Who's Turning Two?!
Delaney will be two on Tuesday so we had a little party to celebrate! I think the second year went by faster then the first, if that's at all possible. She's little miss independent these days and a complete joy even through her terrible two's.
This is her pre-party present from Mommy and Daddy. She ran all over the house with her new doll and stroller.
Her adorable outfit was a gift from her Grandma and Grandpa in NC.
A few party decorations.
Opening gifts was not quite as fun for her as I had hoped it would be. I think she opened one and I opened the rest.
She got so many wonderful gifts and loves ALL of her baby dolls. She may have got a few... Good thing she has a baby sister on the way to share with.
Yo Gabba Gabba Cake!
She loves singing happy birthday and was amazed that everyone was singing it to her!
Make a wish pretty girl!
She wasn't nearly as messy with the cake this year.
Eating cake with her friends Madison and Sophia.
A birthday hug from Madison. She had a wonderful party! I'm so thankful that a few of our friends and family could come enjoy the afternoon with us.
