Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone!  Hope yours was as blessed as ours.

 Our tree filled with presents.

Delaney checking out her new kitchen.  She loves it!

 Playing with Daddy.

My child is obsessed with our vacuum cleaner.  So what better present then to have one of her own!  This thing even talks and cracks jokes.

Helping me look through my stocking.

Our three little munchkins with their stockings.  Kierstin, Delaney and Jordan.  It's a Christmas miracle that Delaney sat still long enough for me to snap this picture.

The family hard at work, looking at all their goodies.

Delaney wearing the elf hat from Grandma Kammeyer.  This hat sings and dances.  She likes to wear it and dance around the house.

Still digging through their stockings.  Delaney lost interest and moved on.

Teamwork!  Looks like Grandma Fisch got them S'mores.  YUMMY.  Bet they will be making them the next time Grandma visits.  New Years Eve maybe (hint hint, Grandma)?

 A new piggy bank

Jordan's favorite present this year!  The Lego Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle.

15 Months

I haven't done a Delaney update in a while.  There is only one word that comes to mind that descibes her to a "T" right now.  That would be HANDFUL.  She does not sit still for longer then 2 seconds.  She is into anything and everything and she's a climber!  She is keeping Mama and Daddy on our toes for sure.

At her 15 month checkup she weighed 21 lbs 14 oz (36th percentile) and is 31 inches tall (67th percentile).
She says a few words... Dada, Da-dee, Mama (rarely), yeah, dow (down), Hi.  I'm sure there are other words that I can't think of right now.  She does a lot of baby gibberish still.  Trying to get her to talk more.  I'm sure soon we won't be able to shut her up.  She does understand quite a bit.  You can ask her where her blankie, binky, cup, baby, book are at and she will get it and bring it to you.  Or you ask her where her brother, sissy, Daddy, Mama or doggie are at and she will point to them.  If you ask her if she wants to take a bath she nods yes, tries to take her clothes off and heads towards the bathroom.  She gives lots of hugs and kisses.  Dances to music. Loves to twirl.  Plays rough with her brother and sister.  She's also very silly.  Love her to pieces.

Zoolights

This year we went to Zoolights at the Phoenix Zoo.  We've been there before, but it's been a few years.  I remember it not being very exciting, but I noticed this year that they seem to have added a lot more lights.  It was also the warmest it's ever been.  We've had a really warm winter.  Other then the 10,000 plus people that were there, we had a good time.  The kids even got to go down the polar slide!  Imagine tubing down a slide that looks like a snowy hill.  Yes, we live in the desert.  It's the best we can do.  Oh, and of course the Heuer's were there too!

Jordan & Landon posing in front of the elephant lights.

Some of the many lights we saw.  These are insects... beetle, scorpion and centipede... YUCK.

Jordan, Kierstin and Landon enjoying some hot chocolate.

 Delaney enjoying her milk.

We even got to see the sting rays up close.

Jordan was brave enough to touch and feed them.

Delaney was more interested in doing laps around the string ray pool.

 Being silly before we leave.

It's that time of year again

The kids were anxious to get the tree up and the decorations put out around the house.  Rob and I put the tree up.  The kids put the ornaments on the tree.  Usually I help with the ornaments, but this year I just let them have at it.  They did a great job!  The only thing I asked of them was to be sure not to put the nice ornaments at the bottom where Delaney could get them.
I love this picture.  They were working so hard to make our tree look pretty.  Delaney of course needed to be in on the action.  She loves to pull an ornament off the tree and run away from you as fast as she can.  Little stinker!
She was digging through the boxes to see what other kind of goodies she could find.
Jordan was excited to find his stocking.  I bought our new stockings last year and I absolutely LOVE THEM.  They will be around for many, many years.
The finished product.  They did a wonderful job and we're so excited for the holidays!
