Getting Our Monies Worth

Three and a half years ago, Kierstin was our flower girl at our wedding.  She was only 4 years old at the time.  She looked so precious in this dress that went all the way down to her feet.

This past Friday was the Daddy Daughter Dance at her school. She decided that she knew just the dress for the occasion! We tried to talk her out of it, but she begged to wear the very same dress from our wedding. We've kept it around for dress up. She's worn it numerous times at home.

I'm amazed that it still fits!  This kid just keeps getting taller.  Not bad I guess.  Maybe Delaney can wear it someday for dress up?  If it hasn't fallen apart by then.

Disney Vacation: Part Four

I promise this is the last post about our vacation.  There are just too many pictures to share.  The pictures below are of our hotel stay.  They had a fireplace in the lobby so we went to check it out.

Delaney is chasing Daddy down the hallway.  She's getting pretty fast!
Yes, Delaney is in her jammies, but I wanted to get a quick picture of the kids with their Disney hats on.  Kierstin picked out sparkley Minnie Mouse ears and Jordan picked out the Goofy hat.

Our last time on the Tower of Terror before we go home!

Rob, Jordan and Kierstin on the Grizzly River Rapids ride.
Jordan all wet after the water ride.  At night you could jump right on this ride and not have to wait in a line.  The other bonus is that the ride was right next to the entry of our hotel.  So the kids would go on the water ride and then head right back to the hotel to get warm and dry.  Brilliant!

Disney Vacation: Part Three

On the third and final day at Disneyland we spent the morning in Toontown.  We didn't get our pictures taken with any characters because I was tired of the lines.  Plus the only one who would be interested is Kierstin.  Jordan is too cool and Delaney is too scared.
Jordan is working hard to make the fireworks go off.
Behind bars, just where they belong.
100% CUTE!  YES SHE IS!
Our kiddos on the Toontown Trolley.
Jordan's trying to show Delaney how to play on Goofy's piano.
Hanging out in Goofy's chair.
TWINS!!
Winnie the Pooh's honey pots.
Jordan and Kierstin wanted to check out the fire truck on Main Street on our way out.
Her first Mickey Mouse sucker.  What a mess that was!

Disney Vacation: Part Two

On our second day at Disney we went to the California Adventure.  We made a beeline for the Toy Story Mania ride as soon as the park opened.  This ride always has the longest line and there are no Fastpasses for it.
Delaney was trying on her 3D glasses.

They were all ready for the Toy Story ride.  I don't think Kierstin was quite awake yet.
Kierstin and Daddy on the Jumpin' Jellyfish ride.

A quick picture in one of the taxi cabs for the Monsters Inc. ride.

Cheesy?  Yes.
Being silly as usual.

A relaxing afternoon in the hot tub.  The pool was heated but it's not like it was bath water so we spent most of our pool time in the hot tub.

She always does her "squinty eyes" when I take pictures of her these days.  Not really sure why.  But here she is ready for bed in her Minnie Mouse jammies.  Part three of our vacation coming soon......

This is what happens when....

.....you try to get an 18 month old to sit still long enough to take a picture of her new shoes to show Grandma and Grandpa in NC.

Disney Vacation: Part One

So if you know me, you know that I LOVE all things Disney. I usually go to Disneyland at least once a year.  My poor children are unfortunate to have a Disney fanatic for a Mom.  I know you feel really sorry for them, don't you?

For Spring Break we decided to surprise the kids with a trip to Disneyland.  They had no idea until they climbed into the car and found some Disney character's buckled into there seat belts.

Jordan caught on right away with what was happening, but Kierstin was a little confused.  Rob caught it all on video.  It was priceless.

We stayed at the Grand Californian for the first time.  This is such an awesome hotel.  They have 3 pools and a water slide that wraps around a tree.  We spent all of our afternoons in those pools.

This is the view from our room.  This is the California Adventure.  At night we could hear the music and see part of the World of Color water show.

Here the kids are on day 1 of Disneyland.  We got in an hour early so we could enjoy some of the rides in Fantasyland before the crowds came.

Jordan taking Delaney for a stroll down Main Street.

It's the Mad Hatter Tea Cups time!  Jordan and I went in a cup of our own so we could spin like crazy.

Daddy took the girls for a more mellow, non-spinning, tea cup ride.

Rob, Jordan and Kierstin ready to brave the Matter Horn.  This is one of the kids favorite rides.

Kierstin was lucky enough to meet Ariel!

And Belle..... Delaney wanted nothing to do with them.

This is a picture (of a picture) of the kids and Rob on Space Mountain.  Such fun for the start of our trip!

More to come.........
