Amazing Jakes

Yesterday was Amazing Jakes day! This place was awesome. An amuzement park all indoors away from the AZ heat. They had several different rides, arcade games, bowling, miniture golf, go-karts, lazer tag and an all you can eat buffet! Sounds like a perfect place to be to get away and have some good old family fun. We went here for Jayme's birthday. It sounded like a good excuse to go play with the kids. Glad I suggested it! The best part was that I got a coupon a couple days before we went so it made our day even sweeter. Who doesn't like a good deal?!

Jordan and I rode on the go-karts. He's about 5 inches too short to be the driver. He's lucky that I'm a crazy enough driver that it was quite the adventure.

These little cars go pretty fast. Add to the fact that I was out there with some 12 year old boys that don't know how to drive. We got in a crash TWICE that for the record were NOT my fault. Rob will say that I'm a terrible driver, but really I was the expert out there this time. I know Jordan enjoyed himself when at first he wasn't sure he would being just the passenger.

Jayme and Landon's turn! Jayme got stuck behind some slow kids that would not get out of her way. So she didn't get to be a crazy speed demon like me. Maybe that's not such a bad thing for little 3 year old Landon. He obviously had a good time and made sure to waive to his Daddy every time they came around the corner. Too cute!

Jayme, Jordan and I rode on the bumper cars. Jordan enjoyed ramming into Jayme and I as hard as he could. Who am I kidding, I enjoyed it too!

Kierstin enjoyed herself on the kiddie rides. These were the Chocolate Cups that spun around and around and around. She ended up in the bathroom right afterwards ready to lose her lunch. We should have known that a spinning ride wouldn't be her thing. She gets very car sick. Oops!

This was the Frog Hopper and by far Kierstin's favorite ride. She's on the far right in this picture. It goes up and then drops you over and over again. She must have got on and off this ride at least 20 times in a row, no joke.

Delaney loved the toddler play area. Finally somewhere she could crawl around. She was getting restless in her stroller. I had to try to ignore the fact that it's probably very dirty and germ infested. Ewww.

Mindy and Jeremy joined us for some Amazing Jakes fun. This is Delaney playing with their daughter Sophia. You wouldn't know that Sophia is 3 months younger than Delaney. They are pretty much the same size. I see them playing dress up together someday in the future. They are so cute together.

Landon and Jordan got into the miniture golf. Landon almost got a hole in one! Not bad for a little guy. Jordan wishes he could say that.

Jordan's trying to show Kierstin how it's done. She had a hard time holding the golf club right.

The birthday girl! Thanks for having a birthday Jayme so we could go have some fun. Not that we really need an excuse for a fun day. Maybe we can go back some day soon!?
