Mommy's Girl

I was just having some fun with my phone and instragram and snapped these pictures of Harper and I.  She's the sweetest little baby and I love her to pieces.  I can't imagine my life without her.

 I've been working pretty hard to lose the pregnancy weight.  My hard work is paying off.  I feel great!

 She was smiling at the baby in the mirror.  Absolutely precious!

 We have long chats together.  She likes to make sure she is heard.

Easter Wrap Up

I guess I should finish posting about Easter before the month is over.  Oops!
On Easter Sunday we headed to church.  They were serving a pancake breaskfast on the patio.  Yum!  We then attended the service (which the kids were good, for the most part) and then headed out to the courtyard for the egg hunt.  Delaney loved grabbing all the eggs and Jordan was right beside her to help.  He really is a great big brother.  Here are some pictures from our Easter morning.

Arts Festival

Jordan performed at the Peoria Arts Festival today with his school.  He's been playing the viola since September.  If it wasn't so dang hot out, we may have enjoyed ourselves more and checked out some of the art exhibits or singers and dancers.  Unfortunely I'm not keen to melting in the sun and being miserable.  So we enjoyed watching Jordan do his thing and then headed out of there fast.  It's not supposed to be 103 degrees out yet.  Ugh.   Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa F. for coming out to support Jordan.

As always, he makes me proud to be his Mom.  Love you Jordan!

The DeeDee Fairy

So we may have been hanging onto the pacifier a bit too long in our house.  Delaney has been attached to these straight out of the womb.  As soon as she learned how to talk she named them her "DeeDee".  Delaney was not the best sleeper as an infant and the pacifier is what calmed her down the best.  That and she's always been a big time blanket baby too.  Sort of like Linus.  Extremely cute.

 

I wanted her DeeDee to be gone before she turned two.  So did the pediatrician.  Well at two we decided to narrow it down to naptime and bedtime.  She's now two and a half and enough is enough. I told her the "DeeDee Fairy" was coming to get her DeeDee's because other babies needed them and she's no longer a baby.

So we ditched the DeeDee's on Thursday morning.  Right after bathtime that night the doorbell rang.  We ran to the door and Delaney found a little surprise waiting for her on the doormat....

The DeeDee fairy was so proud of her for giving up her DeeDee that she gave her a Rapunzel doll!  Tangled is her favorite movie right now.  She could watch it over and over.

Maybe not so thrilled about me taking her picture though.  At any rate she loves her new "Barbie" as she calls her and takes her to bed with her at night now instead of the DeeDee.  Oh and she takes about four of her special blankies as well. 

Way to go Delaney!  Another step towards becoming a big girl!

Milestone Alert!

I put Harper down for Tummy Time yesterday (which she hates) and she rolled over onto her back!  I thought it must be a fluke so I tried it again.  She did it three more times in a row!  Awww growing up so fast!

Easter Saturday

The Easter Bunny came a day early this year for my kiddos.  Jordan was spending most of the day Sunday with his dad, so we got together on Saturday.  Grandma and Grandpa F, Grandma and Grandpa K, and Aunt Liz and Uncle Mike were all there.  I made baked ziti and garlic bread.  Aunt Liz brought a salad and Grandma F made a yummy strawberry dessert.  Maybe not your traditional Easter meal but it was good none the less. 

The Easter Bunny left these goodies for the kids..

Partying too hard made her crash out fast.  Although no better place to be than in Daddy's arms.

They were all very anxious to hunt for some eggs.

Delaney took the egg hunt very seriously this year.

 

Her brother and sister were very good not to grab too many eggs so that she had plenty.

Jordan and Kierstin have that "quit taking my picture" face.

Harper slept through most of the party, but I'm pretty sure she enjoyed herself.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Three Months Old! 04.07.12

Harper you are THREE months old!!  It's hard to believe that you've been here for 3 months already.  Your Mommy, Daddy, Brother and Sisters all love you so much!

Sleep:  I moved you from your bassinet in our bedroom, to your crib in Sissy's room on 04.06.12.  You did great!  No problems adjusting at all.  You've been there ever since.  You were outgrowing your bassinet so it seemed like the best time to make the move.  You sleep in your crib from about 8:30pm until 6:00 or 7:00am.  We obviously have to wake you up earlier 3 times a week when we go to work.  You are my best sleeper by far.  You've made going back to work a little easier on me.

Feed:  You are completely formula fed now.  We have you on soy (Similac Isomil) because your tummy did not tolerate the milk based formula.  Other then a few problems with some constipation you are doing really well with the soy.  Your brother was on soy when he was a baby too.  I've been sad about no longer breastfeeding you, but I know it's what's best for us.



Weight:  I'm not sure what you weigh right now, but I'm guessing around 13 lbs.

Length:  Not sure about your length either.  Although you've outgrown your 0-3 months clothes because you're so long.  We go back to the doctor when you're 4 months old.

Diapers:  You are still in a size 1-2 Costco brand, but you won't be for much longer.

Clothes:  You are wearing size 3-6 months clothes now.  Right on track.

Hair Color:  It's mostly light brown, but you have some dark brown hair in the back.

Eye Color:  They are still blue like your daddy's.

Milestones:  You've started grabbing onto toys that are hanging above you or blankets that are set in your lap.  You also love to "talk".

Your Favorite Toy:  Your hands are still your favorite toy, but you also like to lay on your playmat.
