Halloween Weekend Recap

Today is my birthday.  I'm 33 years old.  WOW.  The years really fly by.  We had family over on Saturday night for pizza, wings and cake.  Any excuse to get everyone together is okay with me.

The cousins were playing together out back (Paige, Kierstin, Adam, Delaney and Jordan).

My mom made me a brownie pumpkin cake.  She used to make these when I was a kid and I'd take them with me to school to share.  Thanks Mom!

On Sunday morning we carved our pumpkin.  Jordan and Kierstin were scooping out the seeds.

Delaney helped too of course.

The kids drew the face on and Daddy carved the pumpkin.

Good job Daddy!

Then the kids got to paint my belly like a pumpkin.  So here my little artists are hard at work.

Daddy drew on the face.

Happy Halloween from The Kammeyer's!!

29 Weeks

How far along? 29 weeks (and 3 days)! Our baby is now the size of a squash!  She measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long and weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 lbs.

Total weight gain/loss: +23 lbs

Maternity clothes: Yes and getting very bored with wearing the same things.

Sleep: I'm still not sleeping well and now I'm sick with a head cold.  Blah.

Best moment this week: Watching the kids (and Rob) paint my belly like a pumpkin.

Movement: She's still kicking me often.  We found out at our 4d ultrasound that she's in the frank breech position.  So all of her kicks have been low in my belly or off to my left side.  She better figure out how to turn head down or I'm not going to be a happy mama!

Food cravings:  Nothing in particular.  Just loving most food in general.  Except for right now because I can't taste anything.  Stupid cold!

Gender: A perfect little princess.

Labor Signs: No, thank goodness.

Belly Button in or out? Still an innie but getting more shallow.

What I miss: Getting a good nights sleep.

What I am looking forward to: My doctor's appointment tomorrow morning and our 2nd try at the 4d ultrasound on Sunday.

Weekly Wisdom: I need to get more rest.  I do too much during the day and don't sleep well at night.

Milestones: Another week closer to meeting my baby!

Trunk or Treat

Last night we went to CUMC's Trunk or Treat.  The kids played games, jumped in bounce houses and ate candy.  They of course loved this and Rob and I were exhausted by the end of the night.

Our pretty pink fairy - Delaney

Kierstin - the zombie cheerleader

Grandma and Grandpa Fisch decorated their trunk for all the kids to get their treats.

Jordan (the phantom) and Kierstin with Grandma and Grandpa in front of their trunk.

Delaney was content with her one piece of candy, chilling with Grandma.

Jordan's costume had glowing red eyes.  All of the kids thought he was awesome except for Delaney.  She wanted nothing to do with him.

Delaney got a sticker from a nice lady that passed by so she had to show it off.

The kids even found Aunt Deby dressed as a candy corn!  They had a blast!!

28 Weeks

How far along? 28 weeks! Baby is still the size of an eggplant. She is about 13.6 to 14.8 inches long and between 1.5 and 2.5 lbs.

Total weight gain/loss: +20 lbs

Maternity clothes: Of course

Sleep: Cannot get enough sleep.  I'm tired all the time.

Best moment this week: I don't think this was the best moment, but a funny one.  A stranger on the elevator at work asked me if I'm pregnant.  I mean really people?!?!?  I think it's pretty obvious at this point and what non pregnant women looks like this?

Movement: Her kicks and punches are getting very startling.  Like holy crap WOW!

Food cravings: Chocolate

Gender: A perfect little princess.

Labor Signs: No, thank goodness.

Belly Button in or out? Still an innie but getting more shallow.

What I miss: Getting a good nights sleep without a million trips to the bathroom.

What I am looking forward to: Our 4D ultrasound on Saturday!

Weekly Wisdom: Rest when you can and accept help when getting up off the floor.

Milestones: 7 months pregnant and 3rd Trimester.

Pumpkin Farm

Last weekend we went to Tolmachoff Farms to get some pumpkins!  As usual we picked the hottest weekend in October.  It never fails.  The high that day was 100 degrees.  We met up with the Heuer's, Jarman's and Stanley's and had a great time.

Delaney was delighted to see the duckies.

She wasn't so sure about some of the other animals.  Daddy tried to show her that the donkey was okay, but she wasn't convinced.

Rob managed to climb this rope and ring the bell.  It wasn't too difficult a challenge since he's such a tall man.

Jordan enjoyed grinding up the food for the baby chicks and feeding it to them.

There were lots of animals to see, pet and feed.

The cutest little scarecrows in town.

Jordan and Kierstin rode these bikes around and around.

Delaney hitched a ride too.

And then decided that she needed a ride of her own.

Delaney and Sophia

It's so hard to get a good picture of the three of them together these days.

The whole family

Rob with his pumpkin

The girls on the tractor

Friends since grade school - Jaymi, Mindy, Me and Jayme.  Love these girls.  I'm so glad we can get our families together occassionally.

Jordan and Kierstin

All of the kids - Jordan, Delaney, Landon, Kierstin, Kaytlyn, Kensley and Kayley

We had a great time as usual.  Maybe next year we can manage to go when it's a bit cooler outside.  I can dream anyways.

27 Weeks

This picture was taken at the end of the day which is why I look so tired.  My husband told me my shirt makes me look like a pinata.  Thanks Rob!

*********************************************

How far along? 27 weeks! Baby is now the size of an eggplant!  She is about 13.6 to 14.8 inches long and between 1.5 and 2.5 lbs.

Total weight gain/loss: +19 lbs

Maternity clothes: Of course

Sleep: It's hit or miss.  Last night I slept better, but that's because I was exhausted from getting very little sleep the night before.  I still have pregnancy insomnia most nights.

Best moment this week: Watching my belly jump around.  She's a busy girl these days!

Movement: She is very active and enjoys kicking me in my ribs.

Food cravings: Hot dogs and caesar salad

Gender: A perfect little princess.

Labor Signs: No, thank goodness.

Belly Button in or out? Still an innie.

What I miss: Getting a good nights sleep.  I probably won't see that for the next few years.  Sigh.

What I am looking forward to: Our 4D ultrasound on the 22nd!

Weekly Wisdom: This is more of a realization.  With the holidays coming up this baby is going to be here in the blink of an eye!

Milestones: 3rd Trimester!!  And hitting double digits!  Only 91 days to go!

And so it begins....

I was at home yesterday, sitting at the computer desk when I heard a little voice say to her brother or sister....."I'm telling Mom" from the bottom of the stairs.  Surely my sweet, angelic 2 year old has not learned how to tattle already?!  How can this be??  Wasn't she just learning how to crawl?  Wasn't she just saying her very first word?  Isn't she supposed to stay sweet and cute for the rest of her life??  Well that little girl marched right up those stairs and came right to me.  Words flew out of her mouth so fast that I couldn't understand what she was so upset about.  She was pointing down the stairs obviously telling on which ever sibling had done her wrong.  I tried hard not to laugh because it was really quite funny, but I'm just in shock at how early they learn these things.  Delaney is growing up way too fast!  Slow down baby girl!  I'm not ready!!
