Daddy's Girl

Rob was in a friends wedding last weekend and I snapped these pictures before he left.  This pretty much sums up their relationship.  She adores him.  She's very lucky to have him as her daddy and I hope they always have this special relationship.

My Bestie Jayme is going to be a MOMMY!!  Baby Leia Adele is due on April 10th and I CANNOT WAIT to meet her!  Jayme and I have already made BIG plans for Adele and Harper to be BFF's.  Her shower was on March 10th and it was phenomenal.  

 

 She could possibly be one of the most beautiful preggers ever.  Love her to death.

 She totally got spoiled and there is no way that Adele will wear all those clothes she got.  She'll seriously have to wear something different twice a day to MAYBE wear every outfit or onesie she received.

And the prize I won!  Jaymi J. made these adorable Easter decorations as prizes for the shower.  I won mine for guessing the size around of Jayme's belly with a string of yarn.  Do I know my bestie or what!?

Two Months Old! 03.07.12

Harper Leigh you are 2 Months Old!  I'm a little late, but better late then never.

Baby Stats

Sleep:  You are a champion sleeper!  Since you were 8 weeks old you've been sleeping 8-9 hours EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT.  I'm sure I've probably jinxed myself by saying that, but there it is.  I don't expect you to sleep through the night every night, but you've made me a very happy, well rested mama!

Feed: We have had quite a few problems with your feedings.  We were dealing with a lot of fussiness and gas.  You've had some formula since you were a month old and I've had to switch you to soy, which has made you a much happier baby.  I do still occasionaly nurse you, but it's more for comfort then feeding these days.  Grandma Fisch also brought over some Dr. Brown bottles which also makes a difference for you.

Weight: At your 2 month well check you weighed in at 11 lbs and 15 ozs!  That puts you in the 70% percentile.

Length: You are now 22.5 inches long which is in the 56th percentile.  Big healthy baby!

Diaper size: You wear Costco brand size 1-2

Clothes size: You are wearing size 0-3 months clothes, but they are getting too small.  I pulled out the 3-6 months clothes and they are in your closet ready to wear.

Hair color: Your hair is still a light brown.  It seems a little red or auburn to me at times.

Eye color: Still blue like your daddy's.

Milestone: You smile all of the time now.  You will smile at anyone.  You're such a friendly baby.

Your favorite toy: Your hands for sure.

A First for Jordan

On February 19th Jordan got to go skiing for the very first time!  His Grandma and Grandpa from NC were in town to visit and took him along with them up to Flagstaff.  They met up with the rest of Grandma D's family for the President's Day weekend and from what I've been told stayed in this fabulous vacation home.  I stayed home with the rest of my family.  I thought it would be great for Jordan to get away and have some one on one time with his grandparents.  Plus he's been asking to go play in the snow for quite some time.  These pictures make me so sad that I wasn't there to experience this with him, but I'm so glad he had the opportunity to do it. 

 He went to ski school prior to hitting the slopes.  From what I've been told he did a great job.  He said he had some altitude sickness, but it went away and he was able to enjoy himself.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Fisch!

We celebrated Grandpa Fisch's birthday today.  Grandma came over and made a cake with the kids.  Then we had pizza and wings.  Aunt Liz and Uncle Mike showed up too.  It was a nice mid week get together.

One Month Old! 02.07.12

One month old already.  The month just flew by.  I know I will feel this way every month but still.  WOW.

Baby Stats

Sleep:  During the day we let you snooze when you want.  Occasionally I can get you napping at the same time as Delaney (2 hours).  That makes for a very quiet house which is nice.  At night you will sleep 4 hours from about (9pm-1am).  I change and feed you and you're back to sleep.  After that you're up in 1-2 hour increments until we get up for the day around 7 or 8am.  You're so good to your Mama!  That first 4 hour stretch really helps.

Feed:  For the first month I exclusively breastfed.  Such an accomplishment for me!  You eat every 1-2 hours during the day.  Then 2-4 hours at night.  I love our special bonding time.  You're so sweet.   

Weight: 8lbs 6oz (at 2 week appt 01.24.12)

Length: 20.5 inches (at 2 week appt 01.24.12)

Diaper size: You wore newborn diapers for 3 weeks and then we moved up to size 1.  The only reason we moved up a size was because we ran out of newborn diapers and we had tons of size 1.

Clothes size:  0-3 months.  You outgrew your newborn clothes at 3 weeks because you were too long.

Hair color: Light brown

Eye color: blue

Milestone: You are much more alert these days.  You stare at everything, just taking it all in.  You have such huge, bright eyes.  You are also holding your head up so well lately.

Your favorite toy:  You love your bouncer and your hands.  You will sit in the swing, but not for very long.
