Back to school

The kids went back to school yesterday. They were both pretty excited. Jordan was anxious to see all of his friends and Kierstin was looking forward to her new school.

Jordan is now in the 4th grade! He will tell you that his favorite part of school is recess, but he's actually really good at math. He loves it. Math was always a struggle for me so I'm glad to see that he enjoys it.

Kierstin is in the 1st grade! She is going to the same elementary school that I went to from 3rd to 8th grade. It was definately a blast from the past walking onto that campus. She loves the playground.

They're all ready with their new clothes and backpacks. Looking pretty good I must say.

We of course couldn't go back to school without including a picture of Delaney. It's strange to think that when I was taking these pictures last year she was still in my belly. Here's to hoping that it's a great year for the both of them!

Jordan's party

For Jordan's 10th Birthday we went to Fuddruckers for lunch with family and friends. Jordan enjoyed a cheeseburger, opened presents, ate a cupcake, and played video games. I'd say it was a successful party! We're so glad that everyone came to celebrate with us.
Me with the birthday boy!

After the party he went home and played with all his new toys. This was the first thing he did. He put together the Indiana Jones plane that his Grandma and Grandpa Kammeyer got for him. He's so good with Legos.

11 Months Old

Delaney is 11 months old now! First birthday party preparations have begun! I can hardly believe it!! Delaney is a very busy baby. She crawls very fast now. She is also pulling herself up to stand on everything and has begun to furniture cruise. She finally has 2 teeth on the bottom. They popped through towards the end of her 10th month. She hadn't been sleeping through the night and was making Daddy and I very tired. Now that her teeth are in she's a much happier baby. I'm sure she'll have the top two teeth soon. We also have a self feeder now. She wants to eat whatever we're having. Her favorites are peas and mac n' cheese. Yum!

She's such a big girl, standing up!

Love her baby blue eyes just like her Daddy.

If you look closely you can see her bottom two teeth!

10 years ago today...

Happy 10th Birthday Jordan! Ten years ago today I became a mother for the very first time. After 13 hours of labor, Jordan Alexander was born on August 5th 2000 at 5:22pm. He weighed 6lbs, 7oz and was 19 and 1/2 inches long. He has brought me so much joy into my life. I love him so much and feel so blessed that I'm his mother.

The BEST museum ever!

We spent the afternoon at the Phoenix Children's Museum! This place is completely hands on and extremely kid friendly. The kids were non-stop all over the place the entire time we were there. We can't wait to go back!

Jordan and Kierstin on the huge structure they had that was 3 stories high! I even went up there with them. Boy was that a climb.

Kierstin taking a rest

This was the tricycle car wash. My kids were WAY too big for this but they couldn't help themselves.

Weeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

Jordan snapped this picture of Rob and I

The noodle forrest. This was by far the kids favorite place to be.

They would get lost in the noodles and play hide and seek. Kierstin's light up shoes gave her away everytime.

They had a little grocery store where you could take the groceries off the shelves and then play cashier. FUN!

I think Jordan is trying to sell Delaney.

The stock boy putting all the groceries back on the shelves.

She loved all the mirrors

They had cute little nooks to hang out and read a book or two.

Delaney loved the under 3 room. There were no big kids to knock her over and this was the quietest room in the whole place. She crawled all over the place.

Delaney loved the puzzles

Kierstin making ice cream cones and sharing with her daddy.

Delaney had to try it out too.

The huge structure that the kids played in.

Happy baby!
