Newport Beach

Enjoying the beach even though it was freezing.

Delaney and I watching our family have a good time

All smiles..

"Look Mom a seashell"

Throwing sand..

Still having a good time...

More seashells...
AND THEN...
KIERSTIN FALLS FACE FIRST INTO THE WATER!

That's it.. beach trip over!

Only tears while Rob tries to calm her down and show her it's no big deal.

But nope.. "Daddy let's go home." NOW!!!
I've never laughed so hard in my life! Can you say Drama Queen?? We were there for MAYBE 20 minutes. Poor Rob was really looking forward to it too. Maybe we'll have better luck next time.

*****************************************
On May 15th 2010 Jayme and Nick became husband and wife. I was so honored to be a part of their BIG day!!! Jayme is one of my most favorite people in the whole world, so it meant everything to me that she asked me to be a bridesmaid. She found an amazing man to spend the rest of her life with. And Nick's son Landon is so lucky to have Jayme as a step-mom. They are so perfect and cute together!
First of all I want to say that being in their wedding felt like prom all over again (minus the ugly corsage). It was so much FUN!! I got my hair and makeup done. I put on the cutest black and fuchsia dress. Plus I got to wear the HOTTEST pink heels. It was so much fun to dress up and feel pretty. My whole family was looking pretty spiffy themselves. Jordan wore a suit with a fuchsia tie. Kierstin got to wear a pretty fuchsia and white flower girl dress and Delaney wore a fuchsia dress with a pretty bow on top of her pretty little head. Even Rob was looking pretty hot!
The ceremony was sweet and simple. Just the way I like it. My feet were killing me in those 3 inch heels. So standing up for too long would have been torture! But I made it. The reception was so much fun. The food and music were great!! I don't remember the last time that I got to shake my booty like that. I was actually sad that the night had to end. Jayme's attention to detail was phenomenal. It was a wonderful celebration of their love.
I can't wait to make many more memories together as friends. I'm already looking forward to the fun date nights and gatherings with our families. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Heuer!! The Kammeyer's LOVE you!!!!!

Mother's Day

One of my most favorite days of the year! I get to spend it with my family and be spoiled. Every year is pretty much the same. We go to church in the morning with my Mom (aka Grandma). The last couple of years "the girls" (plus Jordan) have gone to brunch afterwards. Aunt Liz joins us and we have a nice meal together. My husband spoils me with flowers and I requested a "date night" this year. Since we've had Delaney we don't go out alone much. So some alone time was definitely needed.

One of my most favorite quotes since I became a mother..

"Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide to have your heart go walking around outside your body forever." - Elizabeth Stone.

This quote has stuck with me since before Jordan was born. The day he came into my life, my world changed. I had no idea that I could love one little person so much. He made me want to be a better person and a wonderful mother. As I got older, the desire to have another little one to love and care for became stronger. Therefore our miracle baby, Delaney was born. These two give me meaning and purpose to my life. I'm so glad that I get to be their MOM.

Child of God

Delaney and Mama

The whole family

Delaney with Brother and Sissy

Grandma & Grandpa Fisch

Grandma & Grandpa Norris

On April 25th Delaney Grace was baptized at Central UMC. Many of our family and friends showed up to show their love and support for us and our baby. Even her Grandma and Grandpa from North Carolina came to be with us on such a special day. After Pastor Bob baptized Delaney, he took her to see the choir and down the aisle so the congregation could get a closer look. She was such a good baby and didn't cry at all. I was completely shocked. It was a beautiful service. Afterwards most of us headed back to our house for lunch. It was the perfect day. We are truely blessed to have Delaney Grace in our lives. We are so proud of her!

Easter

The Easter Bunny was good to my kids this year. No big surprise there! The morning began with the kids looking through their baskets and getting ready for church. Jordan's basket had a soccer ball, football, basketball, candy, Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, DS video game and Peeps (which became his new favorite Easter candy). Kierstin's basket had a princess doll which included a horse, carriage and castle. She also had a Wii game and candy. Delaney's basket had a very cute bunny named Foofey (named by the kids) along with giant plastic eggs with Little People in them and a book. She loved holding the plastic eggs.

After the Easter basket fun we headed to church. Delaney was happy in her Grandma's arms during the service. She played with the paper bulletin and managed to stay awake until the very end of the service. Jordan and Kierstin enjoyed the egg hunt out in the court yard. There were so many eggs that they had to quit picking them up so the little kids could get some. I enjoy sitting back and watching them run around and have a good time.

The rest of our day was spent at home. Grandma Fisch, Grandpa Fisch and Aunt Liz came over for lunch. Then Grandma and Grandpa Kammeyer stopped by in the evening with more goodies for the kids. So I'd say we had a great Easter with our family!!

7 Months Old!

The months are just flying by! Delaney turned 7 months old on April 6th. She's just a busy, happy little baby and we love her so much. I just can't get enough of her chubby little cheeks and the oh so cute rolls on her arms and legs. Here are some highlights of my precious baby girl's development thus far..
* Sitting all by herself now and has been doing this for probably a month.
* Rolling in both directions.
* Does full push up's and is trying to get up on her knees.
* Tries to grab everything and anything that is within her reach or out of her reach.
* Repeats the "mama" sound and enjoys to talk to herself with baby babble.
* Picking up cheerios pretty easily with the pincher grasp.
* Loves to play Peek-a-boo.
* Starting to get upset when I leave the room.
* Recognizes her own name.
* Bounces up and down while in her highchair or on my lap.
* Loves to eat carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, applesauce and pears.
* Hates green beans, peas, and bananas.
* Sleeping 10-12 hours at night now.
